Daryl Yorek, DDS, MS
I am a lucky person to love what I do every day. The combination of art and science is intriguing, and I enjoy using my skills to help local families. A new smile often brings enhanced confidence, which can be life-changing. I love helping my patients attain the smile of their dreams and sharing their joy when they see the final results!
Education and Continuing Education
Prior to becoming an orthodontist, I attained my Bachelor Degree from University of St. Thomas in Houston, and attended Dental and Orthodontic school at Houston Health Science Center, where I earned my DDS and MS.
After more than 32 years in orthodontic practice, my passion for what I do is stronger than ever. In my profession, I learn something new every day, and enjoy being active in my continuing education. As a part of my studies, I am an active member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Washington Damon Study Club, the South Sound Dental Study Club, the Pierce County Dental Society and the American Board of Orthodontists. I learn new proven methods and technologies so I can ensure my patients the highest quality treatments possible.
In the Practice
I have been practicing orthodontics since 1979, and truly love what I do. I enjoy serving the people and families of Tacoma and Vashon Island, and establishing meaningful relationships with families. It's rewarding to create beautiful smiles that my patients are proud to show off! I help many patients feel better about themselves through their confidence in their smile, and that always makes my day.
Family Life
I am originally from Houston, TX, and have lived in Tacoma since 1995. My wife, Kelly, and I have four wonderful children as well as three dogs and even a few Koi fish! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travel, good food, kayaking, and playing golf.
I am also active in our community, and volunteer for the Pierce County Humane Society and Dogathon, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and other local and national organizations.
